K19_WeirdEddy: Note how there is only one "X" shaped set of tie lines and no other ones crossing the originals. This is bare-bones minimal; in general we need more tie-lines than this for success. This site only worked as well as it did because it's flat.
K28_SouthBeach: Note how there are only 5 perpendicular tielines at this site. Furthermore, these are concentrated on only half of the site. It appears that there is a steep slope here and that there may be more than the usual number of parallel passes running along the slope. This makes sense from a diver safety point of view (not bouncing in depth up and down the slope) but makes for poor mosaic geometry. When using the many parallel transects technique along a steep slope, it is important to run not exactly parallel, but make them cross each other slightly. Also, I would do at least perpendicular transects across the two ends and a diagonal or one in the middle.
