South Florida Mixed Reality Field Trips

South Florida Mixed Reality Field Trips is a seed project funded by the University of Miami, Office of the Provost. The overall goal of the Provost's program was to explore new ways in which mixed reality in general and the Magic Leap headsets in particular could be used to enrich educational or research endeavors both within the U and beyond. Our project investigated how the 3-D reconstrctions created in the mosaicking process could be leveraged to create an enriching virtual reality educational experience. This video will give a brief overview of the concept and a short demo of the application itself. The datasets used can be explored in the online potree viewer using the links on this page.

The first video is a presentation of the final report, including background material and a demo of the application.

This second video is a subset of the first just showing the application demo, so if you're impatient just skip to this one...
