Weather:  No sampling in the morning.  Full sun when started sampling around 14:00 local.  Steady wind at 15 knots from west with large swell and many wind waves.  FLIP tilted at about 5O angle.  Around 17:00 local a few stray clouds passing overhead of ship.  Sampled all the way till the sun was fully set.

Instrumentation used:  Sky camera system was run from 21:30 GMT – 02:15 GMT (September 17, 2008).  Images were taken in cycles that took 1 image with each appropriate spectral filter and polarizer combination.  A typical cycle took about 6 minutes to complete and cycles were started every 15 minutes. 

Microtops sunphotometers were also taken every 15 minutes corresponding to the previous 2 instruments’ sampling schedule.  The microtops were taken from 21:00 GMT – 01:45 GMT (September 17, 2008).

**Luc did multipe fly-bys in a small airplane doing lidar scans of the region during the afternoon.
